RESPIRATORY THERAPIST

Position Purpose:
Responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered per physician, with emphasis in specialty areas (i.e., Emergency, Neonatal, Pediatric, Geriatric and Critical Care), monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, patient assessment, understanding ramifications of hemodynamic monitoring, understanding blood work results, monitoring, teaching, and training.
STATUS:
Full-Time (40 Hours per week)– Days, nights, and on-call. Employee will be required to work some weekends and holidays.
Education/Certifications :
o Must be a graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care Program with the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Credential or be eligible according to guidelines set forth by the NBRC.
o Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
Knowledge Required:
o Knowledge in the areas of Pulmonary diagnostics, Cardiac Diagnostics (EKG, Holter monitor, Event Monitor Cardiac Stress Testing and Nueurodiagnostics (EEG) strongly desired.
Experience Required:
o Pulmonary diagnostics,
o Cardiac Diagnostics (EKG, Holter monitor, Event Monitor Cardiac Stress Testing
o Nueurodiagnostics (EEG) strongly desired.
o RRT with at least one year experience, thorough knowledge and training in the areas of General Respiratory Care as well as Mechanical Ventilation is desired.
SALARY INFORMATION:
Grade: 20(CRT) 23 (RRT) BASE RATE: CRT – $19.36 DOQ RRT- $26.10 DOQ
