Bring your best friend, mom or sister and come learn about women’s heart health from an expert. Dr. Gerald Myers, TMH Cardiologist, will present “The Silent Stalker – Coronary Artery Disease in Women.” He’ll offer tips on preventing heart disease and recognizing its unique signs in women. This presentation will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd at 6:00 in the Conference rooms at the Memorial Hospital. For more information, call 824-9411.
February is American Heart Month. Part of maintaining a healthy heart is managing your blood pressure. Did you know that high blood pressure doesn’t have any symptoms? Knowing your blood pressure is within a normal range is important knowledge to have. Left untreated, high blood pressure can cause damage to your heart and coronary arteries, stroke, kidney damage, vision loss, and more. Know your numbers – stop by the TMH Medical Clinic at 785 Russell Street for a free blood pressure screening. No appointment is necessary. For more information, call Janet Lott, RN at 826-3257.
